Seven houses affected left a huge fire registered this Saturday afternoon in the commune of Tomé. Onemi declared a Red Alert for the commune.
Onemi, in coordination with the Bío Bío Presidential Delegation, declared a Red Alert for the Tomé commune, due to the fire that left seven houses consumed.
The emergency was registered specifically on Avenida Vicente Palacios.
“According to what was reported by the municipality of Tomé and Fire Department, At this time, a structural fire is registered which currently affects 07 homes, presenting a direct threat to neighboring homes”, indicates the document issued by the National Emergency Office (Onemi).

Firefighters from Tomé received support from units from Concepción, Talcahuano, Penco and Conaf.
The Red Alert, states the Onemi document, will be maintained until conditions warrant it.
