The Ecuadorian Police have confirmed the explosion of two car bombs in the province of Esmeralda,in the north of Ecuador, during the early hours of this Thursday (local time).
After echoing the news, the Police have announced that “specialized and tactical units” are taking action. of the Corps are on the ground “executing control and search operations” in order to find the whereabouts of those responsible.
Previously, several media outlets had reported two explosions in Esmeralda, a province over which a rules.state of emergency to deal with a wave of violence, as reported by the newspaper ‘El Comercio’.

The police commander of the The Esmeralda subzone, Javier Buitrón, has warned that the owners of the vehicles were kidnapped by the perpetrators of the attack.
