A 21-year-old girl was shot dead in Montecchio Maggiore, near Vicenza, perhaps near her home. The victim is married and the mother of a two-year-old girl. The killer is currently on the run. The murder took place in Valdimolino, a fraction of Montecchio. According to what has been learned, it was her husband who discovered the body in the early afternoon. The crime could date back to lunchtime. Witnesses saw a man running away from the house – different from her husband – who climbed into a black Y and fled. The victim was hit by a single gunshot.
It is the second murder five days later in Vicenza: last week a 51-year-old man killed his former partner, a 33-year-old woman.
