There are many times when you have asked about an Xbox VR, and it seems that Xbox does not want to do something similar to PlayStation VR, or so Xbox boss Phil Spencer himself seems to have suggested. Spencer was questioned again yesterday about whether the team is planning to extend the gaming experience to a VR space in the future, and while Spencer offered a bit of hope for VR fans, it appears that there are no plans in the works.
Spencer didn’t outright deny that Xbox is going to flirt with VR, but explained that his best VR experience has been the Oculus Quest 2, so he wouldn’t want a device that connects via a cable to an Xbox, as with Playstation VR. The interesting thing about his claims is that they could open the door for arrival of Xbox Cloud Gaming to Facebook’s VR device or the creation of a VR device similar to this that would work with games in the cloud.

Facebook’s Oculus Quest 2 is the VR market leader right now, and it’s unique in its ability to work without cables, whereas both the original PlayStation VR and the upcoming PlayStation VR 2 are devices that use cables. That is why according to Phil Spencer, the best experience he has had is with the Oculus Quest 2, for its ease of use, and that it does not require it to be connected to any device to function.
