In Italy, over 1 million and 100 thousand people are affected by dementia, of which 60% from Alzheimer’s and 78% over the age of 80 and mostly women (ratio of 2.4 to 12 men). In our country there are over 3.5 million3 caregivers who take care of people with dementia, mostly women.
