Lewis Hamilton has won six championships at Mercedes.
Formula the seven-time world champion of the ones Lewis Hamilton will continue his career at Mercedes until the end of the 2023 season. Mercedes announced the extension agreement on Saturday on its website.
British giant Hamilton has been riding a Mercedes since the 2013 season and has won six championships in team colors. Next season is already his ninth grand career in the giant.
Hamilton, 36, is the F1 Series record holder in gp wins, podium places and pole positions. During his Mercedes seasons, Hamilton has won 77 races and also topped more than 70 time trial races.

“It’s hard to imagine that I’ve been working with this awesome team for almost nine years, and I’m excited to be able to continue our partnership for an additional two years,” Hamilton described.
“We have achieved so much together, but we still have a lot to achieve both on and off track. I am incredibly proud and grateful that Mercedes has supported me in my efforts to improve the diversity and equality of our sport. ”
Mercedes team manager Toto Wolffin from the words it could be inferred that Hamilton’s position in the stable is almost intact.
“We are moving into a new F1 era from 2022 onwards, and there could be no better driver on our team than Lewis. His accomplishments speak for themselves, and he is at the forefront of his strength thanks to his experience, speed and competitive skills, ”Wolff praised his protector.
“I’ve always said that as long as Lewis has a fire to drive, he can continue for as long as he wants.”
Wallop wanted to make a follow-up contract with Hamilton in good time so that the contract situation would not bring unrest to the rest of the season.
Hamilton is second in the World Championship before the Austrian GP to run on Sunday. Red Bullin Max Verstappen leads the series by 18 points to Hamilton.
Hamilton’s Finnish teammate Valtteri Bottas the agreement with Mercedes expires this period. Bottas has been Hamilton’s teammate since the 2017 season.
The future of Bottas is still open, but there has been a lot of speculation about it.
