Last week, the telecommunications regulatory body approved the call and the bidding rules for 234 AM radio frequencies and 85 FM stations, which are distributed in 29 entities of the country.
Without revealing the number of beneficiaries, the tenders will be available in Baja California, Baja California Sur, Campeche, Durango, Jalisco, State of Mexico, Morelos, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, to name a few.
With the above, Navarrete Torres stated that the call is available to all those interested, so there is no “black list” or prohibition to operate a radio station.
For his part, Carlos Sánchez Bretón, General Director of Spectrum Economy and Orbital Resources of the IFT, highlighted that the starting price of the total IFT-8 tender is 531.9 million pesos, of which 504 million pesos correspond to FM and 27.9 million pesos to AM.
It was highlighted that IFT will evaluate all participants in order not to generate a type of concentration in the market by companies or individuals.
