Boats prepared before the competition
The boats Doña Lucy, Lasik and Game Changer came out ahead in their respective categories in the preliminary statistics provided after noon on the first day of activities of the 2022 White Marlin Fishing Tournament directed by Salvador Egea in the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of Cap Cana Ciudad Destino.
Doña Lucy dominates in the “Pro” after releasing six white needles for a total of 1,800 points. The fishermen Joselo Hernández, four released, Ricardo Quiñones and Rafael Caicedo, with one each, board the boat.
The second place corresponds to Victoria with 900 points and the third position goes to Angela, with two released. Each white marlin released receives 300 points.

Opening Ceremony

For his part, the director Egea spoke of the work carried out in recent years at the family level and said that it was an honor to be in his second home again. He finally spoke. Silvano Suazo, who thanked to all those present and in a special way highlighted the support of the Navy of the Dominican Republic, the fishermen of the Club Náutico de San Juan and the Club Náutico de Santo Domingo. He said they were innovating and for the first time in the country the high-tech Pro category was being inserted.
