The developers of the multiplayer video game Overwatch made the decision to retire one of their characters, the hero McCree, due to the investigation against the executive of Activision Blizzard that inspired him, Jesse McCree, implicated in the scandal of harassment and discrimination against employees in which the study is involved.
Activision Blizzard chose to change the name of the hero McCree to “another that better reflects what Overwatch represents”, as recognized by the developers of the video game through the official profile of the title on Twitter.
