After comedian Eugenio Derbez commented that had been banned from Grupo Televisa for his statements about the Mayan Train, Emilio Azcárraga came out to declare that there is no such veto, nor is he related to López Obrador.
The actor, whose success has transcended borders, declared in an interview for Grupo Formula that he is currently banned from Televisa México , but not from Televisa Univisión. “They haven’t given me the exact reason but I want to assume that it’s because of the Mayan Train”, he stated, so Azcárraga had to deny it in a very particular way through his Twitter account.
However, there are other celebrities who have been said to be banned from the company and, in some cases, no one has come out to deny it. Among the celebrities that can be seen on the list are Héctor Suárez, Danna Paola, Lucero, Andrés García and even Kate del Castillo.

The singer declared in an interview for the youtuber Juanpa Zurita, that she made the decision together with her father to leave Televisa despite the fact that the company offered her star in another soap opera. She affirms her, she decided to take on another project with Telemundo . After having rejected several telenovelas and bioseries, it is said that the television station vetoed the interpreter of Hey Pablo.
