After three weeks of absence after having tested positive for COVID -19, Andrea Legarreta returned to her job as presenter of Hoy on September 21 , a program in which she has served as the headline for more than 20 years.
The actress also had moments of uncertainty with the disease, because not only she but also her husband Erik Rubín and her daughters were infected with coronavirus, a condition that they managed to overcome and derived from which Andrea suffered pneumonia that kept her hospitalized.

Although the scare was great and has already passed, and despite the fact that for now the driver is not susceptible to a recontagion, she has revealed that she will not lower her guard and, on the contrary, will continue to take extreme precautions.
In a meeting with the press, Andrea narrated how she is dealing with the aftermath of COVID-19 and assured that she is very happy and grateful to God for having come out ahead. This is what the driver said:
It was a major scare, well, I cried at the beginning, but bless God we are very grateful, because to me, who was the worst, well we gave ourselves & nbsp; account in good moment of the pneumonia that was, thank God beginning. Based on that, I was able to spend three days, with intravenous medicine, it helped reduce inflammation.

Legarreta said that despite having already tested negative for a recent test, thanks to which he was able to return to his work in the magazine program, his lungs have been somewhat resentful, so he will have to wait a little longer to be able to fully recover.
“Right now my lungs are not 100% because it takes some time but I am very grateful, I feel very blessed and my family is the same. I have not recovered 100% of my smell and taste, but I’m doing very well now, which makes me very excited ”.
She also said that she experienced multiple symptoms that have already been discussed , a situation that was very distressing for her.

“My symptoms are very similar to those of many people; that if you lack smell and taste, they give you a kind, not hallucinations as such, but the nights are very difficult, you have many nightmares. It happened to Erick, Mía and me, it was constant, anguish, diarrhea, I had many of the symptoms, “he added.
Despite the concern and uncertainty that Legarreta experienced with his diagnosis, he also expressed that the disease brought positive aspects to his life, such as the fact of being able to meet some loved ones whom he had not seen for a long time, so something good about his condition was that he was able to strengthen ties again.
“I’m very grateful. Calls came up, people who contacted me who had not contacted me for a long time or had not had communication and the truth was very beautiful, “he added.

When it was learned that the Televisa presenter had attended a movie function with her family a few days before her health status was revealed, users on social networks attributed the contagion to her attendance at the movie theater ; In this regard, Legarreta was blunt and pointed out that it could have happened in some other place that he frequented.
“You just imagine that people who don’t know me have decided that I got it there (at the cinema), that is, I went, did a report, for example, planting trees, I did the one about the new normal of cinema, what I lived there, together with my family, the most careful I’ve ever been through . They were, but masks, the masks, an important distance. The show was just the four of us, the restaurants the same, and I tell you the truth, I thought it was very strange that they said it was in a movie theater, if I don’t know, except for those who live with me ”, he concluded.
